As Allied prepares to open its highly anticipated McGregor, Texas facility, a new standard for steel building manufacturing is on the horizon.

Robotic Automation in Manufacturing – Prioritizing Precision
Spanish machining manufacturer TECOI will play an integral part in ensuring the precision and high quality that Allied’s products are known for thanks to their special plate processing “Thor” system.
Featuring a dual tool changer, dual drill heads, dual plasma, and dual oxyfuel, our Thor system is the first of its kind in the United States and has the advantage of combining high-performance thermal and mechanical cutting.
In addition to offering flexibility and versatility with its multiple capabilities, Thor’s sturdy design and reinforced guides are intended for heavy-duty applications, high productivity, and reduced downtime. Most importantly, the machine’s precision is critical to ensuring that processed steel parts fit optimally into the automated assembly, facilitating a key process within the facility.
As the first of its kind in the nation, this highly innovative robotics line has the potential to transform steel assembly, making Thor’s supportive role a critical one.
Making Every Second Count Twice
The machine’s abilities and specifications were customized to Allied’s needs after our success with TECOI’s Teknos machine at our first facility in La Coruna. With dual independent drilling heads, the Thor system can yield twice the productivity of a standard plate processing system, giving it double the capacity and speed.
