Building Guyana 700 250 Steel Buildings | Allied Steel Buildings

1 October 2022

Thanks to Guyana’s recent discovery of significant offshore oil reserves, it’s on track to become one of the world’s leading oil producers and top fastest growing economies.

Allied has had the privilege of providing solutions for a multitude of Guyana-based businesses looking to get off the ground as quickly and reliably as possible. With 24 projects completed to date, many of which are providing hundreds of local jobs, we are proud to have helped shape Guyana’s economy while providing a backbone to its unprecedented growth. None of this would have been possible without our partners; those who referred us time and again and those that helped us weather the storms of supply-chain issues, materials shortages, and price increases, allowing us to consistently deliver on time and on budget.

Take a deeper dive into some of our recent projects in Guyana and see how we’re building a solid reputation for ourselves in this exceptional country.

Schlumberger’s New GTC Headquarters in Georgetown

Thanks to a local business partner in Guyana, Allied was given the opportunity to design and build Schlumberger’s new Guyana, Trinidad, and the Caribbean (GTC) headquarters. With a tight timeline and some interesting engineering challenges, Allied completed the $75 million project on time in August 2021. See what we’re most proud of about this project.

TechnipFMC’s Subsea Services Base

Allied was thrilled to have been asked to help build TechnipFMC’s subsea services base, a unique 30,000 sq. ft. steel building with attached jib cranes, located 120 miles offshore Guyana. Despite significant supply-chain shortages and escalating material prices, the project was successfully completed in 6 months without any major budget or timeline implications. Baker Hughes Warehouse

Tasked with providing a steel building solution for Baker Hughes’ Guyana expansion, Allied conceived and delivered a two structure warehouse totalling almost 100,000 sq. ft. that’s expected to employ over 100 locals and help Baker Hughes meet regional demand for energy technology solutions. Allied’s partners and suppliers were integral to this project’s success. Read on to see how we exceeded expectations.

Atlantic Marine Supply Inc.’s Industrial Park Warehouse
