Allied Steel Buildings Launches Allied Cares Initiative by Donating 20% of Proceeds
from all Canadian and Domestic Sales in Support of Alberta Fire Relief Efforts
Fort Lauderdale, FL – (May 30th, 2016) Allied Cares, an initiative of Allied Steel Buildings, a recognized leading supplier of high-quality engineered building systems globally, today announced the launch of a campaign to support the wildfires in Alberta, Canada. Allied will donate 20% of net proceeds from all buildings sold in the United States and Canada, between June 15th and June 30th, 2016, directly to the Canadian Red Cross Alberta Fires Appeal.
On May 3rd massive wildfires, which began in Fort McMurray, triggered the largest fire-related evacuation in Alberta history, with tens of thousands of people forced to leave their homes, in more than 12 communities. Urgent emergency services are required to support individuals and families.
For two weeks in June, customers that purchase an Allied building will make a positive social impact in Alberta, by aiding in the Canadian Red Cross relief efforts for those affected in the form of emergency food, clothing, shelter, personal services, and other necessities to help assist with recovery and resiliency to those affected by the wildfires.
