Allied seeks a Senior Recruiter to drive recruitment and support daily HR functions for Allied’s diverse workforce. Individuals with talent acquisition and recruiting experience who are personable, engaging, impeccably organized, and highly motivated will succeed in this role. The Senior Recruiter guides and works with the existing HR/Admin team on talent management, training and development, compensation and benefits and HR compliance. The position directly supports the McGregor facility, the HR Director, and liaisons with other Allied campuses to elevate team member engagement and to meet business goals.

Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition and Recruiting
- Develop and implement strategic recruitment plans to attract top talent using various tools and systems and diverse methods and approaches. Build talent pipelines within the pre-engineered metal building and structural steel industry, including related fields and sectors.
- Proactively establish and develop relationships to source qualified candidates for current and future talent acquisition needs via networking, educational and vocational institutions, work force centers, Candidate Relationship Management, referrals, professional organizations, associations, etc. Professionally represent Allied at relevant events.
- Collaborate with department and hiring managers on identifying current and future staffing needs, develop proactive hiring strategies, and provide guidance on best practices. Support the preparation and revision of job position descriptions.
- Manage the full life cycle recruitment process throughout all stages: sourcing, screening, interviewing, compensation analyses, extension of offers, negotiating, and onboarding, while maintaining and ensuring a positive candidate experience.
- Support offer development and negotiations by analyzing pay ranges, job level alignment, and competitive market data to ensure offers are consistent, compliant, and positioned to attract and close top talent.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate and recruitment data in the ATS for metrics and reporting. Provide reports to the HR Director and Management teams.
- Track and improve recruiting performance metrics (time-to-fill, source effectiveness, conversion rates) and recommend process improvements to improve speed and quality of hire.
Leverage, measure and audit Allied brand in the market for talent attraction by upholding Employee Value Proposition (EVP) and industry trends. Collaborate with Marketing and Management on strategic elevation of the Allied brand. - Design and deliver training and tools to improve hiring manager effectiveness, including interviewing best practices, selection consistency, and candidate experience standards.
- Manage relationships with external recruiting partners as needed (agencies, staffing firms, schools/workforce partners), ensuring service quality, compliance, and cost effectiveness.
HR Support
- Serve as a point of contact for routine HR questions from team members and management, providing basic policy guidance and directing complex matters to the HR Director as appropriate.
- Support onboarding and new hire orientation activities in partnership with the HR/Admin team, including coordination of new hire documentation, start date logistics, and follow-ups.
- Assist with HR compliance and employment documentation as assigned, including I-9 support, required postings, and maintaining audit-ready records.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee documentation and HR tracking (as applicable), ensuring timely updates and consistent recordkeeping standards.
- Support facility engagement efforts and HR communications, including employee touchpoints, announcements, and coordination of basic recognition or team member initiatives.
Qualifying & Educational Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of full-cycle recruiting experience, with demonstrated success filling hourly and salaried roles. General HR experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
- Working knowledge of HR practices and compliance requirements, including familiarity with Texas and federal employment laws as applicable to recruiting, onboarding, and workplace policies.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- First-rate organizational skills and detail-oriented.
- Friendly and upbeat with a positive attitude.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication skills within and outside the organization.
- Proficiency in the use of HRIS systems, MS Office applications, Google Suite applications, and additional related software knowledge.
- Strong ability to manage a variety of tasks simultaneously.
- Critical thinking, evaluation and analytical skills.
- Talent and desire to work with high-pressure situations in fast paced environments partnered with a strong sense of urgency..
- Ability to work individually and in team environments.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish is preferred – working proficiency levels
