Job Summary:
The Component Manufacturing Project Manager leads both coordination between sales and engineering of projects for work shipped from our McGregor, Texas facility. The process is to integrate the current buy out system in-house to facilitate the process of transferring buy-outs components to in-house manufacturing. This process includes all the information coming from ASB engineering and sales, setting all the process for purchasing all materials including steel coils, and all the hardware required for the building construction. Coordination of all the shipments consolidated or independent of ASB projects.
Success looks like complete projects being shipped on time, safely, and to industry specifications.
Responsibilities:
- Organize system to process and access ASB project information to develop a production plan for all components and hardware materials.
- Prepare and seek a cost optimization process for procuring all materials.
- Collaborate closely with ASB PM’s, clients, and stakeholders from project inception to refine scopes, identify risks, and develop value-engineered solutions.
- Manage full project lifecycles, including scheduling, budgeting, resource allocation, and coordination with ASB Sales and Engineering partners and fabrication team to ensure on-time delivery and quality standards.
- Monitor project progress, track variances in costs and timelines, and implement corrective actions to mitigate delays or overruns, ensuring alignment with McGregor facility capabilities.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety protocols, and company standards across international operations and at the McGregor facility.
- Foster cross-functional teamwork with engineering, fabrication, and logistics teams, particularly within the McGregor plant, to streamline processes and enhance project outcomes.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies, procedures, and government regulations (e.g., OSHA standards).
- Properly use all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Promptly report any accidents, injuries, unsafe conditions, or potential hazards to a supervisor.
- Actively participate in all mandatory safety training, drills, and development programs to improve skills and knowledge.
- Work cooperatively with team members to achieve production goals and departmental objectives.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and codes of conduct.
- Monitor own work to ensure it meets quality specifications.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred but not required.
- Experience: 7-10 years of proven experience in project or construction management within construction or manufacturing industries or related fields.
- Certifications: Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, LEED) are a plus.
- Strong proficiency in estimating software and project management tools
- In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes
- Excellent analytical skills for cost forecasting, risk assessment, and financial modeling.
- Effective communication and negotiation abilities to liaise with diverse stakeholders, including international teams, clients, and local teams.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed to support global projects, with a home base in or near McGregor, TX.
- Proactive mindset with a commitment to innovation and efficiency in a fast-paced, multinational setting.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
- Ability to read, write, and understand basic English/Spanish to interpret/follow safety guidelines and work instructions.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb for extended periods.
- Ability to work in various environmental conditions common to a manufacturing facility
- Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for operating equipment and handling supplies.
Work Schedule:
- Standard day shift, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, Monday-Friday, with flexibility to support production needs.
