After Allied Steel sold Craig Helms a building to house his metal recycling plant in North Carolina, he decided that he needed to make some changes.
“I decided to change the eave height from 18’ to 24,’” recalls Helms. “Generally, when you decide that you need the dimensions changed once the parts have been made it can be quite a hassle. But Allied’s Building Services Group was able to modify the dimensions without any problems or delays.”
Helms put up his building over a year and a half ago. He was impressed with how well the parts were made.
“The durability of the parts was great,” says Helms. “We specifically found the craftsmanship of the ridge caps and the siding to be very satisfactory in terms of what we wanted for a building.”
Helms said that his contractor had an easy time putting up the warehouse that they now use for a variety of different things besides metal recycling.
“We do a bit of everything around here,” says Helms. “We use it for storage for scrap amongst other things.”
When Helms ordered the 60’ X 120’ X 18’ warehouse he also had industrially reinforced insulation, gutters, and downspouts added.
“The building holds up very well in all kinds of weather. I know it’s because we were able to provide Allied with lots of specific requests and they fulfilled them all,” says Helms. “I’d be glad to give a recommendation to anyone that is looking for a pre-engineered building to come to Allied Steel. |
