Mike Marneris, a general contractor for Mega Steel Structures in Fontana, CA, had put up quite a few buildings for Allied Steel customers.

“When I was still doing contracting in California, I had put up buildings that came from Allied,” said Marneris.  “But then I sold that business and moved to Texas to get into horses, so I had forgotten about them.”

When Marneris wanted to build a few additions to his Texas ranch, Muller Contractors, brought up Allied’s name to him again.

“They gave me a flier that had specials on certain sizes, and there were two that caught my eye,” said Marneris.  “There was a 100 X 220 X 16 and a 30 X 50 that I liked for my riding arena and a hay barn respectively.”

Marneris went ahead and purchased the two buildings from Allied Steel.  He chose to include 14 skylights to the larger building.

“For the arena, we had twelve 2-sided openings, a wood fence, and the whole thing had divided wooden legs.  It’s fully enclosed, and it has worked out fine.  The building quality is great”

Since a lot of the buildings’ original dimensions had changed, Allied helped out replace the parts that were missing.

“We had some problems with shortages, but I can see how that happened – we just changed so many things around.  I can say, though, that the missing parts were there the very next day.  Rick Akram, at the Building Services, was absolutely great; everyone at your office was.  The process was very easy.”

Marneris put up the buildings by himself, and found nothing difficult about it.

“Yeah, it was real easy.”

Marneris was very pleased with his buildings and with the help from Allied Steel.

“The goods and services from Allied Steel were very good.  The quality is great.  My father-in-law was very impressed by the steel thickness and the value of the buildings.
