Allied Steel Saddles Up
Allied Steel Buildings proudly sponsored a saddle at the Grand Opening of Creekside Arenas in Melfort,
Saskatchewan. The saddle sponsorship is part of a mission to give back to the local communities Allied Steel lives and builds in. The Grand Opening of the 100×220 indoor steel riding arena on October 16th, 2010 included barrel racing, team roping, junior barrel racing and junior team roping. After the competitions, the steel riding arena was transformed into a dance hall for the grand opening celebration party. Raylene Carlson, owner of Creekside Arenas stated “The building is fantastic, we’re adding more features everyday!”
The new indoor riding arena included energy-efficient 6” insulation to help keep the building heated in the colder months. It also features soft footing for better riding control and an indoor podium for events. Each Thursday evening rain or shine, area residents meet at Creekside for barrel racing and team roping jackpots. Creekside also offers horse boarding, riding memberships and lessons. In addition, the new arena is available for event rental. It has already been used for various events including dances and weddings!
Raylene Carlson opted for an affordable and energy-efficient Allied Steel building as an alternative to a more expensive conventional brick or wood building. At prices 60% less than conventional buildings and with shorter erection times, Allied metal building arenas are the economical option. The 100×220 steel building accommodates a variety of requirements as it is perfect for horse shows, riding lessons, and of course the Thursday night barrel races.
